Vacuum tube equipment operates with potentially lethal voltages. Even if you do not electrocute yourself, coming into contact with 300V+ is not exactly a pleasant experience. Regardless of what you think you may know concerning electrical safety, you still need to read this article carefully. It just might save a life: either yours or someone else's.</p> <p>We do our best to provide you with kits that are as safe as possible. However, there is no way to guarantee the skill level of the builder or the suitability of the final product. If you do not have the experience and knowledge in building electronic kits, and/or the voltages which these kits use, we <i>strongly</i> encourage you to find something else to build, or come back after you have acquired the necessary skill and knowledge. If you don't know what you are doing, find someone who does: retired TV and radio repairmen, or hams who have had experience in building ham rigs (local ham conventions are a good place to look) and seek his assistance. We would much rather make a new friend than lose you as an old one.</p> <hr size="2" width="100%" /> <p>Our specialty is original design audio amplifier kits for the Do It Yourself Community. In case you were wondering, our designs are vacuum tube based, therefore "hollow state", as opposed to solid state. Perhaps you remember vacuum tubes: they glow in the dark and get hot. To this day, no one has yet to develop an active device that is better suited to analog amplification.
